Here's a preview of something I hope to use to learn to cel-shade (I was working on re-designing his armor to be more protective). I've always had a thing for those anime-screencap pictures, but I think my style may just be too detailed for that.

And here are the chibis I'm going to color and sell keychains of at Katsucon. They're all in Day of Black Sun outfits.

I can now drawing in the car because I have a small enough tablet and a laptop which holds three hours of charge. Whoopee!

It took me around seven hours, but I hope to get faster, looser, and better with color as I go (not to mention, better at faces). Critique welcome because I'll be doing more of these.

Funny that I post more in my sketchblog than my real blog.

Anyhow, my electronics are all here now - printer, tablet, digital camera. So, I was happy and made a preview picture of that WIP from a few entries back.

My room isn't usually that clean, and yes, that's a mooncake box.

Work-in-progress for a commission (Sort of. She's my un-named character, so I'm taking suggestions.). CG on graphite using a graphite brush I made. I'm trying to get a better grip on color, but something's off here, so critique would be appreciated. I have to do a flip-horizontal, desaturate the background, and keep refining, but that's all I know.

She's blind. That's why her eyes are like that.

As I said, I'd get some pictures of Rivek up tonight. It's the first time I've drawn him in awhile, and he's been coming out pretty good so far. Hopefully, I can finish these by the 21st and turn them into real pieces.

I want to add one of those frame backgrounds to this - you know, where the character is outside of the frame, but the background is within the frame. Unfortunately, I also want to do it with colored pencil on 11"x14" Canson, which is more a "I'm not in school" type of project.

I changed the pose on this one a little in Photoshop, but I plan to CG this (cel style?). It'd be one of those screenshot type pictures with the black bars and subtitles: Stei moria remma moria - let the dead stay dead (in Alisian, of course).

This one would be in good old pencil. It's two sides - wrath and pardon, respectively - which I will explain if I finish this. It seems most likely to get finished by the deadline, so I would probably go with that.

I submitted my animation samples, and now I'm part of deviantART Film! Crazy, huh? Check DA for my animations. I'm only going to upload recent ones, though (and the penguin one. That one' s just worth seeing.

I need to do some more hand-drawn animation type stuff.
